Mike Coney announced in the summer of 2014 that Unitrends was moving its head office to Burlington, MA. The primary reason for this is that it is looking to make use of the talent in the Boston region. Consequently, it moved its head office to the area from Columbia, SC. Columbia is still the center for the engineering, customer support, and product development teams.

Burlington, since 2009, was serving as the core point for its marketing and sales operations. Currently, Unitrends has 108 employees in the Burlington, MA office. This office is a new 27,500-square-foot facility. The Company has roughly four hundred employees in its complete workforce.

Mike Coney is looking to add thirty additional employees by the end of this year. Moreover, he expects adding an additional fifty in 2015. This will bring the total to approximately two hundred employees by the end of 2015. This total will incorporate a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
