Mike Coney announced in the summer of 2014 that Unitrends was relocating its head office to Burlington, Massachusetts. The reason for this is that it is looking to make use of the talent in the Boston area. Consequently, it moved its headquarters to the area from Columbia, SC. Columbia will still be the center for its engineering, customer support, and product development teams.

Burlington, since 2009, was serving as the central point for the Company’s sales and marketing operations. Currently, Unitrends has 108 employees in the Burlington, MA office. This office is a new 27,500-sq. ft. facility. The Company has roughly four hundred employees in its complete workforce.

Mike Coney is looking to add thirty additional employees by the end of this year. Moreover, he anticipates adding another fifty in 2015. This will bring the total to around 200 employees by the end of next year. This total will incorporate a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
